Advised by Brian Kelly VK2WBK Secretary A.R.N.S.W. A.M transmission returns to 40 metres.   Work during the past week with the construction of a new antenna more remote on the VK2WI site has enabled the Dural Technical Team to restore the 40 metre AM transmitter. An interference problem had developed with the existing antenna which passes over the VK2WI building. The new antenna has been erected remote from the building and is dedicated to the AM transmitter. The original antenna has - in turn - been dedicated to the callback transceiver which is in the SSB mode. Reports on coverage would be welcome in the callbacks, or as an email to news@arnsw.org.au . or a phone message to the station on 02 9651 1489 - it will go to an answering machine. Both antennas are half wave dipoles with their main lobes north and south. Advised by Mark VK2XOF, Dural engineer. Miscellaneous news.
